I was born in November 1972. It’s June 2010 now, and I have still only visited 12 states in the US, and two countries abroad (England and Scotland in 1993.) How irresponsible is that? I need to travel more. I must stop putting it off, and stop waiting for a day when I won’t be busy. That’s never going to happen, and my doctors keep telling me I need to vacation.
On June 1, 2010, upon the advice of a “Successful Time Management for Dummies” book, I set a lot of goals that I would like to complete within 1 year, 3 years, 5 years, and 10 years. Among those goals:
I’ve set a goal to visit all 50 States before June 1, 2015.
I’ve set a goal to leave the country at least once a year for the next 10 years.
